The timestamp is added every time the file is opened.

The timestamp format is the following (followed by a new line):
HH.MM DD/MM/YYYY

Or, in the PHP date format:
H.i d/m/Y

Example:
23.03 18/06/2006


It also works in Microsoft Notepad.
