A frustrating thing about the cliptext window is that it will not take any codes higher than ANSI 255 (Hex FF). There is an entire universe of Unicode out there, but the cliptext window will have none of it, even though you can display many Unicode characters (e.g., ſ, the “long lower-case s,” ANSI 0383, Hex 17F) in the main editor window.  Perhaps the EP people will find it in their hearts to enhance the cliptext capability in the future.
